We welcome our two newest Life Professed Dominican Laity. Dennis and Sandy Morehouse made their Profession for Life to live by the Rule of the Dominican Lay Fraternity at our annual retreat on May 17, 2026. Congratualtions!
We celebrated with a cake on June 28, our next regular meeting.

Also – VENEZUELA EARTHQUAKE FUND. Here is the MASTER OF THE ORDER’s letter relating to the recent Venezuela earthquake—providing guidance on how we can respond in solidarity. The instructions included with that letter are a bit confusing, so here is a simpler way to give: Send your donation to the LPC for deposit in its checking account; the LPC will then transfer the funds to the Master of the Order for Venezuela earthquake relief. By mandate of the Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, the Apostolic Penitentiary has granted a plenary indulgence for the Centennial Jubilee Year at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Portland, Oregon (February 14, 2026–February 13, 2027). The faithful who participate in the jubilee celebrations or who make a pilgrimage under the jubilee conditions may receive this special grace. For the benefit of the faithful, this blessing will be imparted on Sunday, June 7, 2026, after the 2:00 PM Solemn Mass and before the consecration of the entire Archdiocese to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Eucharistic Procession.
